standing committees

Training and Education

The duties of the committee shall be to oversee the education and training portion of all general meetings of the chapter.

Membership

The duties of the committee shall be to promote, encourage and solicit membership in the Chapter through any appropriate means.  In addition, the committee shall develop and recommend guidelines to the Board relative to annual cost, levels, and benefits of sustaining membership.

Certified Fire Inspector (CFI)

The duties of the committee shall be the general administration of the CFI program. The committee shall be responsible to promote and encourage participation in the Certified Fire Investigation program by all qualified persons.

Newsletter

The duties of the committee shall be to provide materials to the State Fire Marshals (SFM) office, for dissemination to all members of the Chapter and persons involved with like purposes.

Nominations

The duties of the committee shall be to encourage, solicit, receive and screen all nominations for vacant Board of Directors positions as well as nominations for 2nd Vice President.  They shall also review any nominations received for the annual awards presented by the Chapter.

Constitution and By-laws

The duties of the committee shall be to advise the Officers, Directors, and members of the Chapter on the matters pertaining to the Constitution and By-Laws.  In the event of the proposed changes, it shall further be the duty of the Committee to review and prepare the proposed changes in a suitable format for the presentation to the Officers, Directors,  and members of the Chapter.

Finance:

The purpose is to perform a financial analysis of the annual treasurers report prepared by the executive director.  This committee is headed by the Second Vice President
